Middle East and Africa TV - 9th edition

Published: December 2012

While free-to-air satellite is still taken by most TV homes in the region, there are some very interesting areas where other platforms are making some major inroads.
Adam Thomas, Media Research Manager, Informa Telecoms & Media

By 2017, around 80% of homes in the Middle East and North Africa region will have multichannel TV. This significant penetration rate highlights the rich prospects for growth developing in the region. Sub-Saharan Africa’s 800 million TV households are also offering important new opportunities.
